How do I connect my iphone to my dsl service? How do I connect my android to my dsl service? How do I connect my new computer to my dsl service?

Most people think that when they get a new device, such as: a new computer, iphone, android, etc, they need to get in contact with their internet provider.
But in fact it is not necessary at all, unless you have a dial up connection, which now days it is very unlikely.
DSL, and FIOS, are just plug and play, what this means is that you just need to disconnect the old desktop and connect the new one to the modem. Or if it is a wireless device you just need to connect the device to the wireless signal.  In most case the SSID (the name of the wireless connection) can be found under the modem, and the WEP (the password) is just beneath the SSID.
